Tropic Skin Care ‘Glambassador’ Event

On Saturday 5th March the twice-yearly Tropic Skin Care ‘Glambassador’ event took place at The Vox in Birmingham, so “Team Maddison” were on hand to ensure the event was a success.

Tropics Skin Care was founded by Susan Ma after she appeared on BBC’s The Apprentice in 2010, securing a 50/50 business partner in Lord Alan Sugar. Tropics Skin Care produces natural and cruelty free skincare and beauty products. Their “pure, honest and effective” motto is at the heart of their business, which has seen them become certified by both The Vegan Society and Cruelty Free International.

Their ‘Glambassador’ events began in September 2013, to celebrate the success of their ambassadors and recognise incredible achievements within the business.

On Saturday evening Tropic Skin Care launched their new season product range with Lord Alan Sugar as the guest speaker, making it a truly memorable event.



Maddison Media provided all the theming, design, lighting and staging for the event. The theme for the Tropic Skin Care ‘Glambassador’ event this March was a Shakespearian Midsummers Nights Dream.

First impressions counts so the lobby area was decorated with an impressive extra large bird cage, dressed with ivy, flowers and fairy lights, as well as our stunning white trees covered in huge pink blossoms for an equally dramatic look.

Guests entered into the main room through a living-hanging archway, two lovely ladies sprinkled a beautiful petal pathway for guests to walk, leading to a magical forest tunnel, the tunnel provided the backdrop for a pixel screen walkway adorned with a festoon lighting canopy.

The main room was transformed into a Shakespearian Midsummer nights dream, from table centres to themed bars and an amazing stage set with floor to ceiling coverage.

The team at Maddison Media oversaw the entire setup and installation and was on hand during the evening to ensure the whole event was a great success!
